The number of predicted binding sites and confidence of the prediction can be controlled by the user-specified value of the classification threshold (0.5 by default). A higher threshold value results in fewer binding sites predicted with a higher confidence level.

Protein-RNA binding sites are defined by three types of interactions (hydrogen bonds, water bridges and hydrophobic interactions).

New dataset (September 11, 2013)
542 protein-RNA complexes were obtained from PDB, which were solved by X-ray crystallography with a resolution of 3.0 Å or better. The 542 protein-RNA complexes contain 376 protein sequences and 439 RNA sequences.

PRIdictor web application version 1.0 (August 27, 2010)
PRIdictor provides a web service for predicting protein-binding nucleotides in the RNA sequence. Having trained with the updated dataset of 12-14-2009, the prediction accuracy has been improved.

New dataset (December 14, 2009)
429 protein-RNA complexes were obtained from PDB, which were solved by X-ray crystallography with a resolution of 3.0 Å or better. The 429 protein-RNA complexes contain 2,663 protein sequences and 812 RNA sequences. The redundancy in the sequences were removed using the fragment-based redundancy reduction method.
